The ROM is Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 (JUE) [!].bin, but, sadly, it actually does desync. :( I tried to check the volume my Gens+ was set at and I guess that caused it. That sucks hardcore.

All participants would begin at Sonic 1, and progress to Sonic 2 once they clear Final Zone.
Then they would dash through Sonic 2, and progress to Sonic 3&K after they clear Death Egg.
The challenge would be clear once the screen fades at the end of Doomsday Act 2 (Death Egg 2's Second Boss, for those not in the know.)

I doubt it. I also have a newfound hatred for parameters >:(

I started 62 minutes late, there is nothing wrong with this, people were still racing when I woke up and joined in.

EDIT: Also I -was- there. I was asleep though! Captain Semantics strikes again!

The 62 minutes are added to RPG's time.

Though it is worth noting that had he started on time, at that pace he'd have come in 7th.
